The Scandia Elementary Enrichment Foundation, (SEEF), partners with Scandia Elementary to improve academic opportunities for all students at Scandia.

We are separate from the Parent Teacher Organization, but work in collaboration with the PTO to improve facilities and opportunities at Scandia. The foundation manages an endowment to benefit the school, disbursing five percent or more of our net assets annually to programs and equipment at Scandia Elementary. What we do - We review annual funding requests from the Scandia principal and teachers. Since its inception in 2001, SEEF has made close to $40,000 in contributions to Scandia Elementary, including:

  • Juno Classroom Sound System
  • SMART Boards
  • iPads and iPods
  • Responsive Classroom Training
  • Guided Reading Materials

SEEF donated the first SMART board to Scandia Elementary, making Scandia the first school in the district with a SMART board. In subsequent years, both the PTO and SEEF continued to build on that original donation until all classrooms at Scandia were equipped with SMART boards.Who we are - SEEF in governed by a board of committed community volunteers.
